Harina is a personal project that began in 2021 because of Covid-19. My husband and I lost our jobs that year and we decided to make a living out of our newfound quarantine hobby – baking.

From spending weeks trying out different recipe formulas, calculating costs, reaching out to suppliers, designing the visual identity and directing all photography, I have created everything from the ground up.

I worked with the talented Antonio Uve to create the illustrated logo.

When we were on the lookout for options to snuggle our warm bakes in, we made a conscious decision to choose an eco-friendly alternative. We really wanted to be as responsible as we could, which is why we avoided plastics and excess, wasteful and non-recyclable packaging that is harmful to the environment.

We ended up going with Detpak for our brown bags, paper linings and snack boxes as they are compostable and sustainable. The stamp and stickers are from No Issue Co and are printed with soy-based ink.
